Carrickfergus或称Carrighfergus(卡里克弗格斯)，是爱尔兰安特里姆以东一个风景优美的小鱼镇，座落在贝尔法斯特湖畔，建成于12世纪。卡里克弗格斯城堡是爱尔兰最古老、保存最完好的诺曼式城堡。Carrick就是爱尔兰语“岩石”的意思,而Carrickfergus就是“Fergus的岩石”。相传，Fergus是当时统治这一地区的国王埃里克的一个儿子，Fergus当年远征如今的苏格兰地区，不幸的是，Fergus患了麻风病。为了治病，他决定回家,而目的地就是现在古堡中一口深不见底的井，传说这井水可以治麻风病。然而，Fergus的运气太差了，还没走到这儿，就葬身海上风暴中了，所以至今人们也不知道这口井的井水到底是不是能治疗麻风病。
